The Call to Following Jesus the Messiah is an inductive Bible study that focuses on Jesus.
Those who follow Christ have been predestined to become conformed to the image of Jesus. The study examines what Jesus said about Himself
as well as what He did, and then looks at the writings of others in Scripture that confirmed Christ’s identity. Each lesson studies a different
dimension of Jesus’ attributes and the application questions challenge believers to walk in a manner worthy of Christ’s calling.
Because this is an inductive study, it carefully observes the texts of Scripture, interprets the original intent of the passage,
and challenges the student to claim the eternal principles that can be applied for all those who follow Jesus Christ.
The lessons include homework that provides options for the students and could be done in one to three hours each week.
The class will meet weekly to discuss the lesson, gaining perspective from others.
To make this book come to life, you will begin with observation of the text, which will lead to careful interpretation,
enabling the student to discover the key principles (principlization) and then to the application of many biblical themes in
your own life. Topics to be studied include prayer, sacrifice, repentance, evangelism, and salvation. In this study you will be
challenged to seek God's perspective for your life, see His heart of compassion, and choose to dwell with an attitude of thankfulness
despite your circumstances.
