This nine week inductive Bible study focuses on the New Testament book of 1 Peter, addressing the truths and blessings of the gospel and salvation and many other important theological truths. 1 Peter presets concerns for believers in the early Christian church of the first century world and how the Holy Spirit’s inspired message is relevant for believers in today’s world. Besides an in-depth study of 1 Peter, the study also examines what is written about the Apostle Peter from other Scriptures. The study also offers a daily reflection in Scripture to end with a time of worship addressing the personal walk of those who follow after Christ.
This inductive study uses the Bible as the primary source of information and includes four dimensions: observation of the text to carefully and accurately interpret the Scriptures, while looking for eternal principles in the text to help one apply the Scriptures to the circumstances of one’s life. The lessons include teaching on hermeneutics, to help one become a better interpreter of God’s word.
Suggested Study Format: The study provides a number of options for working on the lessons. When a group is meeting weekly to discuss the lessons, each student will benefit from the questions that are suggested in the leader’s guide.
