This four week in-depth inductive study focuses on the New Testament book of Jude, which addresses specific theological truths through the teaching of eternal principles found in its text. Jude expresses concerns and circumstances threatening the unity and doctrinal soundness of the early church and reflects back on some examples from the historical record of the Jewish people in addition to some references to Jewish “extra biblical literature.” While Jude is not a lengthy letter, a study of its message shows its relevance for the Christian church of today’s world.

This inductive study uses the Bible as the primary source of information and includes four dimensions: observation of the text to carefully and accurately interpret the Scriptures, while looking for eternal principles in the text and apply the Scriptures to the circumstances of one’s life. The lessons are intended to help believers become better interpreters of God’s word.

Suggested Study Format: The study provides a number of options for working on the lessons. When a group is meeting weekly to discuss the lessons, each student will benefit from the questions that are suggested in the leader’s guide.
