This inductive Bible study explores the character of many women in the Old and New Testaments to see the relationship these women had with God. The in-depth twelve week study examines events that revealed the strengths and weaknesses of women in the Bible so that those living today can learn from their obedience as well as from their mistakes. As the lessons point to God’s sovereignty, His provision, His blessings, and His consequences for sin, the students also see evidence of God’s grace and mercy toward His children. The last lesson focuses on the relationship each believer has with God through Christ Jesus, to provide a source of encouragement. Many practical application questions are considered so that students are challenged to grow stronger in their faith and in their walk with the Lord.

Suggested Study Format: Participants can complete only the “observation and application” portions, which would probably take no more than one hour per week. Another option is to complete the rest of the lesson taking approximately two to three hours of study each week. When a group is meeting weekly to discuss the lessons, each student will benefit from the review discussion suggested by possibilities in the accompanying leader’s guide.
